What to Do & Where to Eat in
Portland
To Do's1. Visit
Washington Square (Large shopping mall) - (~6 miles) 2. Visit
the Rose Gardens in Washington Park (Large beautiful park overlooking downtown
Portland). Known around the world. - (~8
miles) 3. Take
a trip on the Max light rail and visit the Zoo or World Forestry Center. deepest train station in the USA. 4. Visit
the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) along the Willamette River. Enjoy an IMAX experience on a 5 story high screen. Tour a WWII sub. 5. Take
a paddle wheel boat ride on the Willamette River from Tom McCall Waterfront park. 6. Visit
the Tualatin Hills Tennis, Swim & Recreational Centers just down 158th. One of the largest indoor swimming pools in
Oregon. Also extensive tennis courts and
indoor basketball courts. (~1/2 mile) 7. Visit
beautiful Multnomah Falls and the historic lodge on the Columbia River Gorge
right on I-84 at exit 31. ~45 miles away. Take
the Falls loop and see 4-5 falls. Very
scenic. 8. Visit
the Pacific Ocean at Canon Beach, a great little resort town take Hwy. 26
~60 miles to Hwy 101. Go south about 5-10
miles. Take one of the first Canon Beach
exits. Don't forget the great pastry shop. Local Excellent Restaurants All are very busy and may have a wait time.·
Sweet
Tomatoes all you can eat salad buffet with soups, pizza, breads, dessert and
much more. in front of your hotel. ·
Marie
Calendar's Great food with scrumptious cornbread. just ¼ miles west on
Cornell Rd. ·
Chang's
Mongolian Grill all you can eat. Make
you own combination plate and watch the experts cook it for you on a hot grill. Busy and good. ½ mile west on Cornell Rd. ·
Olive
Garden great Italian food. Very
popular. About 3 miles south on the Tualatin Valley Hwy, just west of the Hwy 217. ·
Newport
Bay Restaurant Great seafood and grilled items, Cajun styles available. Try their Cajun chicken salad. Head west on Cornell, turn right on Evergreen
Pkwy, turn right just before you get to 185th.
At the end of that drive. ~ 1.5 miles ·
Red
Robin great variety of gourmet hamburgers and sandwich shop. Cross 185th on Evergreen Pkwy. On your right hand side. (~1.8 miles) ·
The
Old Spaghetti Factory Two locations, one close by, one in the beautiful
headquarters restaurant overlooking the Willamette River. Closest one is just west of the
185th/Evergreen Pkwy. Intersection. Turn
right on the first street, then left. (~2 miles) · Skippers Fish & Chips in the parking lot of Fred Meyers at the corner of 158th and Walker. Some of the best fish and fries around! Inexpensive but decent Food:·

Deli conveniently located in the same building. ·
Burger
King Just ¼ mile west on Cornell Rd. ·
Taco
Bell 185th and Walker Rd. ·
McDonalds
Walker Rd. and 158th. ·
Round
Table Pizza 185th and Evergreen Pkwy.
